Re-Employment

Affected Employees by the reduction in force may be offered future re-employment according to board policy.


Classified Employees

Classified employees will be offered re-employment priority for all positions for which they are qualified and which become available in the system for the twelve (12) months following their dismissal.


Licensed Employees 
Licensed employees will be offered re-employment priority for all positions for which they are qualified which become available in the school district for the three consecutive years succeeding their dismissal.


Procedure for Offers of Re-employment
The offer of reemployment shall be made by registered mail, return receipt requested, and the former employee shall be notified that if he/she wishes to accept, he/she must do so in writing within ten (10) days. Failure to accept within ten (10) days or rejection of the position eliminates all reemployment rights of the former employee.
