Employee of the Month (October 2009)

Jackie Burney
Sam's Club Recognizes Outstanding Oak Ridge Elementary Employee

The Oak Ridge Elementary family has been faced with many obstacles this school year, but Assistant Principal Jackie Burney has remained a positive team player throughout it all. She’s provided the necessary communication to keep things running smoothly and help the school remain united. With buses, students and volunteers at different campuses, this exceptional employee has turned organization into an art.

Principal Ann Kraft said the transition to the temporary campuses couldn’t have gone as smoothly without Burney. And in the nomination, teacher Judith Jones credits Burney’s tireless dedication as the reason the school year started without a hitch. Because of her diligence in planning and making sure all students arrive to and from their campuses safely and efficiently, Burney is the district’s October Employee of the Month.
