Measuring What Matters

Measuring What Matters - Paying for Teacher Quality

On Monday, September 14th, school board members, state representatives and senators, school superintendents, teachers, parents, principals, central office administration, community and business representatives, local foundation heads and university officials gathered for a singular purpose- to answer the question, “Is it time to rethink the way we pay our teachers?”  Guests heard from a local practitioner, Principal Rodney Wilds, and three nationally known experts in the field of teacher compensation, Dr. Sabrina Laine, Dr. Jim Guthrie, and Dr. Patrick Schuermann. Dr. Karen Dyer moderated as event guests engaged in significant dialogue about compensation reform in Guilford County, North Carolina, and across the nation.
